We’re currently seeking an enthusiastic and experienced part-time French Teacher for group and private class settings. Responsibilities include:

• Implement a French course curriculum that meets Learn French Brooklyn's mission and goals

• Possess the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively teach students at the assigned levels

• Customize instruction to meet the individual needs of students

• Promote students' critical and creative thinking skills through the use of instructional methods, resources and tools

• Facilitate and maintain consistent communication with students

Requirements:

​

• Native-level French fluency

• At least 2 years of experience teaching French to adults from beginner to intermediate/advanced levels

• Passionate about helping others learn French in a practical manner with a focus on conversation-based learning methods

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, as well as an interest in cultivating relationships and engaging with students

• Strong knowledge of French culture (idioms, as well as literature and art, current events/trends, etc.)

• A Bachelor’s degree or higher in French, education or other applicable subject areas

• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. and reside in the NYC area

• Ability to work at our main school location in Brooklyn and/or travel to surrounding locations within the NYC area

• Ability to work on weekday evenings and/or weekends
