MASTERING THE FRENCH LANGUAGE
March 10 - April 14
Takes place every week, total of 6 sessions
Friday, 5:30 - 7:00 PM
No class on Good Friday, April 7th
Class is held in-person at The Yard Williamsburg.
In this course, we move into high gear. The idea is to encounter all sorts of French, in all its forms: spoken, written, formal, and informal. We study advanced articles taken from reputable newspapers, film excerpts, radio programs, which call for a wide range of vocabulary and sentence structures. We address important issues (like the environment, and society) so that students have the tools to defend their ideas and express their points of view with ease. Learning also focuses on the use of challenging verbs, long sentence structures, and the study of complex idioms used by French speakers.
