FRENCH LEVEL 3 PLUS

Beginner Level 3 Refresher:

​

This course is designed for students who want to consolidate their essential communication skills in French. You'll master basic sentence structures, be able to ask basic questions and express simple ideas in the past and future tenses. This course will give you the tools you need to speak with confidence and ease.

Who You Are:

​

• A recent graduate of Beginner Level 3 (from the previous semester);

• Former Beginner student refreshed with an LFBK refresher workshop or private lesson class pack; or;

• A globetrotter who has lived, studied, and/or worked in a Francophone country with little or no formal French language study  (if this sounds like you, we recommend you reach out to us regarding our placement test first).

What You’ll Learn:

​

Build upon the foundation of Beginner 3 with this course. In this 3-week refresher course, you will learn to respond to a variety of topics, express your opinion and interact in different contexts that you may experience in Francophone countries. Teachers use the ‘full-immersion’ pedagogy, speaking in French the vast majority of the class. This is an opportunity to practice all that you've learned so far. Students will receive prep work the weekend before class that they should prepare for discussion.

• Week 1: All about the nuances of passé composé and imparfait, and how to use them depending on what you want to express.

​

• Week 2:  Present your career, mention what you have achieved in your professional and personal life.

​

• Week 3:  Express in great details about you would do in a variety of scenarios and contexts and what you wish you could achieve.
